We can’t believe yet another season has drawn to an end at our Wyoming dude ranch! It feels like just yesterday that the pastures were green, our horses fat from winter grazing, and we were eagerly anticipating the beginning of our 2014 season. A short four months later, we are left to reminisce about the wonderful season that we’ve had here at the Gros Ventre River Ranch. Some of our favorite 2014 memories include….
Wounded warriors
Our season started out with us hosting a group of wounded warriors from the Semper Fi Fund. The GVRR staff, as well as our guests for the week, had a great time getting to know the warriors and their families. The warrior’s bravery and perseverance was truly inspiring, and their energy infectious. We all ended the week having laughed a lot and learned even more, and we were again reminded how life-changing and healing the GVRR can be for staff and guests alike.

Celebrations of all kinds
We welcomed guests this year celebrating all kinds of memorable moments in life, ranging from 60th anniversaries, to once-in-a-lifetime family reunions, to celebrations of the beginning and end of military careers!
The GVRR wildlife camera
This summer, we had a moose die of natural causes on our Wyoming dude ranch. The boys rigged up a motion sensor camera by the carcass, in the hopes of getting shots of the wildlife in the area…..even we were surprised by how successful we were! Bears, buzzards, and wolves oh my!

It is hard to believe that fall is already upon us in all of its golden glory, and that another summer has passed us by. A huge thank you to all of the guests, new and returning, for filling the ranch with your smiles, laugher, and joy. Cheers to the summer of 2014 at our Wyoming dude ranch!
