Do you have a weight limit for horseback riding?

Due to the mountain terrain in which we ride and the stature of our horses, the Gros Ventre River Ranch has a maximum horseback riding weight of 250 pounds. Please click here for more detailed information.

Do you require a deposit to confirm a reservation?

Yes, we require a deposit of 75% of the reservation costs of your stay with us. For parties with 8 or more people, we require a 75% deposit to confirm your stay, followed by the remaining 25% of your reservation costs due 60 days prior to your arrival.

What if we have to cancel our reservation?

If you cancel more than 60 days prior to the first day of your reservation date, you may rebook later in the season, if space is available. If you are unable to rebook and we are able to fill your space with other guests, we will refund your deposit less $100 per room reserved in your reservation. If we are unable to fill the space, your deposit is forfeited. If you cancel less than 60 days, your deposit is 100% forfeited. Parties of 8 or more are 100% non-refundable at all times. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance.

What is the service charge I see on my bill?

The ranch charges a 15% service charge for services provided by all its staff and for its guided activities.

Are there any additional expenses?

You will see sales tax, lodging tax, and a tax on service charge added to your bill. Of course, any incidentals from our gift shop will be added to your invoice.

Do we have to pay extra for wine, beer, fishing equipment?

Our ranch is all-inclusive. Our rates include all meals including wine/beer/soda, all activities including horseback riding, fly fishing with or without a guide, and much more. Click here to see what else the Gros Ventre River Ranch offers to each of its guests.

All reservations are for a 7 night stay. Do you provide a credit/refund if I have to leave early?

We are sorry, but we are unable to refund any monies for early departures. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance.

I booked a cabin with a friend, but the friend cannot come. Does my rate
change?

Yes. Our rates are based on occupancy first. Our most economic rates are based on double occupancy per room. Should occupancy change from double to single, the rate will change and you will be responsible for paying that rate.

How do I pay?

We accept cash, check, credit card, or money orders.

What time can I check in/check out?

Please plan to arrive on the ranch between 3-6pm on the day of your arrival. Check out time is no later than 10am on the day of your departure.

What activities do you provide on check in or check out day?

We are sorry, but we do not provide any activities on arrival and departure day. Join us for dinner on the day of your arrival and finish your stay with a delicious breakfast prior to your departure.

Do you allow pets?

No. It is our policy to keep the ranch and its facilities pet free.

I am a vegetarian. Can you accommodate my dietary needs?

Our set menu can be adapted to satisfy many different types of dietary needs, including vegetarian. With advance notice, we can provide meals for people with food allergies and dietary restrictions, such as those with celiac disease and dairy or nut allergies. However, our facility may contain dairy, soy, nuts, gluten, and egg and is not a kosher environment.

Are you a smoke-free establishment?

We do not allow smoking in any of our buildings and request that smokers smoke in designated areas. We do not allow smoking near our barn, our horses, or out on the trail.

Should I rent a car?

We highly recommend renting a car during your stay. The Jackson Hole valley has so much to explore, including Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. However, if you do not want to rent a car, we are happy to pick you up and drop you off at the Jackson Hole airport for a $25 charge.
