We have reached another end of a season at our Jackson Hole Dude Ranch. 2016 was nothing short of wonderful, and we are so glad we can look back on yet another amazing season! We were fortunate enough to host over 700 incredible guests, many who were returning for anywhere from their second visit to their 25th visit. Below you will find some highlights from our 2016 Jackson Hole Dude Ranch Season!
Updated Cabins: The winter of 2015/2016 was dedicated to updating our 100 year old cabins, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Week after week guests were overjoyed with the modern updates that were made while still maintaining the history and charm of the iconic buildings. Celebrations: We are so grateful that so many people choose to celebrate life’s special moments here at the ranch with us. We had over 30 birthdays here this summer, ranging from 7 years old to 80 years old! Our very own Tina Weber, the ranch owner, celebrated her 70th birthday surrounded by her friends and family while fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and enjoying each other’s company. We also had numerous couples celebrating their love here this summer! We had newlyweds, couples celebrating their first and second anniversaries, and couples celebrating up to 40 years of marriage!
Family Reunions: Families are always a big part of our summer season at our Jackson Hole Dude Ranch, and this summer was no exception. We hosted more families than ever, with groups ranging from immediate families of 3 and 4 people, to entire family reunions of 40 relatives. Watching families reminisce past experiences while making new and exciting memories is one of the great joys at the Gros Ventre River Ranch.
New Furry Additions: Each summer we seem to add to our furry ranch family, and this summer was no exception. We were lucky enough to add two puppies, three house kittens, a new horse and a bottle calf to our ever growing herd. Sadie and Huck are our new ranch puppies, and they took their job of greeting and entertaining guests very seriously. The three kittens are as cute as can be, and can be found walking around the Main Yard or up in the trees, but they always return home to their warm beds! Olaf was our only new horse this summer, and we couldn’t have dreamt of a better addition to our herd. He was loved by riders of all abilities and ages, and his fluffy mohawk just adds to his charm. Lastly, Freddy was our bottle calf who joined us for the summer. He was in need of a home, and he brought us so much joy and love! He spent the first part of the summer with our five colts, but eventually made the transition to join our cattle, and he couldn’t be happier! We love each and every one of our animals, and we know our guests do too!
As winter approaches, we feel so lucky to be able to reminisce about another wonderful summer. We rode our wonderful horses, fished for trout in our river and ponds, hiked and biked on endless trails, and relaxed while enjoying the famous Teton view. Our staff was wonderful per usual, and we couldn’t have asked for better guests! Thank you to everyone who was a part of our 2016 summer season, we hope to see you all again in 2017 at our Jackson Hole Dude Ranch!
